Thank you for a great 2024 NAFIS Spring Conference, which was March 10-12 at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

Our theme was “Building A Better Future,” examining the many forms of “building” required for students to succeed. For example, the importance of safe, modern educational facilities in maximizing student outcomes is well documented. Educators work hard every day to construct a nurturing, supportive school climate that engages students. They also work hard to meet the needs of individual students, developing relationships that strengthen their connection to school and scaffolding instruction to meet their needs.

This conference helped build attendees’ knowledge of Impact Aid and other education and policy issues and allowed them to develop their professional network. Advocacy was a top priority of the conference, with attendees taking to the Hill in support of Impact Aid and advocating for increased funds.
